One of the most anticipated fights in boxing might have a date and venue.

Miguel Cotto vs Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is almost set and boxing fans should be excited! This is one of those rare fights that combine big names, big stakes and two big punchers. Dan Rafael reports that the fight, may be heading for Las Vegas on November 21, 2015.

Not 100% done just yet but I'm told #CottoCanelo will be 11/21 at Mandalay Bay. Good deal for every1 & HBO PPV gets preferred date. #boxing

Both fighters bring a large fan base and is a classic example of the classic rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico. This fight should no doubt live up to the hype and not disappoint.

Cotto (40-4 33 KO) has enjoyed a resurrection of sorts since coming under the tutelage of trainer Freddie Roach who seems to have restored Cotto back to the body punching machine he once was when he dominated the 140 and 147-pound divisions. He has finished his last three opponents inside the distance including a thoroughly dominating performance against Sergio Martinez in June of 2014 and an equally impressive thrashing of Daniele Geale one year later.

Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KO) has looked very good since his 2013 loss to pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. He battered the hard punching Alfredo Angulo and won a highly disputed decision over the number two Super Welterweight Erislandy Lara ( For the record, I think Lara won this fight.) In his last fight he completely destroyed James Kirkland via knockout in the third round.

This fight has the potential to be a very lucrative, and exciting fight and one of the most anticipated of the year. The winner of this fight could set up a big time fight with the winner of the Golovkin-Lemieux winner and another exciting fight for fans all across the globe. I'm interested to get your thoughts on this fight and who you are picking to win and how.
