Showtime Boxing's latest broadcast on July 30 between featherweights Leo Santa Cruz and Carl Frampton garnered an average of 480,000 viewers, according to a Nielsen ratings chart on Sports TV Ratings.
This is an increase from the last time Santa Cruz, 27, headlined a Showtime card in Anaheim, California against Kiko Martinez back in February -- where an average of just under 300,000 tuned in.
Frampton (23-0, 14 KOs), who is from Northern Ireland, gave Santa Cruz his first professional loss in a majority decision victory that had him winning his first world title at 126 pounds. There is reportedly a rematch clause within the contract that Santa Cruz (32-1, 18 KOs) could exercise either immediately or take an interim bout before stepping in with Frampton once again, according to Ringtv.
