Canelo Alvarez knocks out Amir Khan in dramatic fashion

In a modern day David vs. Goliath match-up challenger Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) and WBC middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez (47-1, 33KOs) treated fight fans to a great fight for as long as it lasted.
The first 3 rounds saw the speed and movement of Amir Khan giving Canelo Alvarez a lot of trouble. Khan was able to land combinations and landed a few shots in the first three rounds that got the attention of Alvarez who looked a bit flat footed and unsure how to respond.
things seemed to change a bit as Alvarez started landing hard shots to the body which slowed Khan just enough for him to start setting up power shots when the two were close. Khan was still a game fighter and stayed on his toes and out of any real danger but the tide seemed to be changing.
Alvarez was able to land more body shots which set up a few big shots to the head which seemed to stun Amir Khan slightly. Alvarez began outboxing the smaller, faster man as a result and proceeded to win the round.
It was in round 6 that Canelo Alvarez was able to freeze Khan with a feint and come over the top to land a beautiful right hand that had Amir Khan out before he hit the canvas. Referee Kenny Bayless waived the fight off declaring the winner by knockout victory Canelo Alvarez.
