Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (33-3-1, 18 KOs) will look to turn his career around against unbeaten Philadelphia product Danny "Swift" Garcia (31-0, 18 KOs) Saturday night from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Guerrero is the underdog coming into this fight against Garcia, and few are giving him any chance at all to pull of the upset. The fight will take place as part of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series and will be broadcasted on Fox.

The vacant WBC welterweight title will be on the line for this fight which should prove to be plenty of motivation for both men and particularly Guerrero to perform. A win for Guerrero would be huge and change the welterweight landscape significantly. On paper, Guerrero has a steep hill to climb as he not looked good in any of his last few fights but styles make fights and one thing is for sure, he will bring it on Saturday night and the fight might just be more interesting than most are giving it credit for. An upset in this fight would help to resurrect "The Ghost" and quiet the doubters. Guerrero went from a guy who looked unstoppable, to a guy who has lost two of his last four fights, looking like a much different fighter. To win this fight, Guerrero is going to have to summon "The Ghost" of past and stick to his game plan throughout the fight. Danny Garcia is a tough challenge for anyone right now, and he carries with him a big punch and a knack for winning big fights even if they are disputed.

Guerrero certainly has nothing to lose and needs to let his hands go and should look to rough up the younger Garcia some. A consistent body attack is paramount, and going to be key because he needs to take away some of Danny's power early. If he can avoid taking big shots and frustrate Garcia he has a chance, even if it's just a small one. Garcia is there to be hit and he is beatable so anything can happen.

Does Robert Guerrero have enough left to upset Danny Garcia? I think he has enough left to make the fight interesting early at the very least, and if he can put in place a solid body attack keeping Garcia off balance and unable to land those big shots he could threaten to take the fight into deeper waters. At the end of the day, I think Garcia will prove to be too young, too strong and his punching power too much for a fading Guerrero and my pick goes to Garcia who I see winning this fight by late round stoppage.
