LONG ISLAND, NY- Daniel Jacobs (33-2, 29 KOs) returned to the ring in the main event against brash challenger and Milwaukee native Luis Arias (18-1, 9 KOs) in front of a packed crowd at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.

The first round started with both men feeling one another out, boxing and finding their distance. Jacobs proceeded to land a big right hand on the top of the head of Arias sending him backward and stunned.

Rounds two and three, Jacobs continued to box and land clean shots to the head of Arias, including a very sharp uppercut in round three which was the result of Arias leaning in and attempting to land hooks to the body. Jacobs continued to outclass Arias adding a left hook to his arsenal, and taking away any offense Arias could muster.
Through six rounds, It was clear Arias had no answers for Jacobs, and that his confidence was waning.

In the middle and late rounds, Jacobs continued to boxing beautifully, landing at will and controlling the fight in all aspects.
In the championship rounds, Jacobs began to stalk and keep the pressure on Arias knocking him down in round eleven with a left hook.
The final round was more of the same as Jacobs landed shot after shot to the head and body.

The final scores: 118-109, 120-107, 119-108 for the winner by Unanimous decision Daniel Jacobs.

Final Punch Stats:
Jacobs 184 out of 581 / 32%
Arias 88 out of 318 / 28%

With the victory, Daniel Jacobs finds himself in an interesting place. He could face the winner of Billy Joe Saunders and David Lemieux set to take place December 16 from the Place Bell in Laval, Canada
