Roy Jones Jr boxing to capitalize on cutting edge technology for upcoming card

Arizona- Saturday, July 15, NABA Super Welterweight Champion, John ‘The Phenom’ Vera Jr. (16-0, 10 KOs) goes toe-to-toe with former WBO Latino Champion, Daniel Rosario (11-2, 10 KOs) in a 10-round battle streaming live from Chandler, Arizona.
Promoted by Roy Jones Jr. and Keith Veltre of Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions the ‘Phoenix Showdown’ also features Super Bantamweight Rico Ramos (25-5, 13 KOs) challenging Tony Lopez (12-2, 4 KOs) for the vacant NABA Super Bantamweight title in addition to a jam-packed fight card featuring Arizona’s finest.
The night will be called by Ray Flores of Premier Boxing Champions, Showtime Boxing, HBO Boxing and CBS Sports Networks, who will be joined ringside by boxing analyst, Michael Woods of the TalkBox Podcast, NYFights.com and Ring TV.
Roy Jones Jr. Boxing, Linacre Media and Ultracast are bringing fight fans a fully interactive ringside format that is touted to provide viewers with all the action and excitement of a front row seat in a ‘beyond live’ experience. With access to behind-the-scenes interviews, multiple camera angles and replays the Fightnight Live series, created by Linacre Media and streamed free via Facebook, caters to the global legion of die-hard fight fanatics and provides boxing prospects with a revolutionary platform on which to showcase their abilities to a worldwide audience. The interactive delivery will allow Facebook viewers to converse with commentators throughout the broadcast.
In addition to the multi-camera Fightnight Live Facebook stream, Ultracast is also providing fans with a Ultracast 360 degree and Ultracast Virtual Reality viewing options available from the Ultracast app. Keith Veltre, believes that broadcasting main events via live streaming platforms has the potential to replace traditional methods of delivering fights.
More than 3,000 hours of Fightnight Live video have been consumed by Facebook users, and with audience draws of 44,000 and 31,000 for the May “Slugfest at the Sun” from Mohegan Sun and the June “Rosemont Rumble” from Chicago, who is to argue?
