LAS VEGAS - According to Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports,  Sergey Kovalev's promoter Main Events plans to file a protest regarding Saturday night's result of the fight, citing that Andre Ward hit Sergey Kovalev with repeated low blows.

ESPN Reporter Arash Markazi captured video of the scene at the post-fight press conference as fans reacted to Main Events CEO Kathy Duva speaking on what took place and their plans to file a protest.

Andre Ward won via eighth round stoppage after he landed a barrage of body shots that prompted referee Tony Weeks to step in and call a halt to the contest.

Video replay seemed to indicate that a few of the shots may have landed low, or on the beltline, which Kathy Duva feels may provide sufficient evidence to support their claim.
