Terence Crawford (28-0, 20 KOs) and Viktor Postol (28-0, 12 KOs) have agreed to terms on a junior welterweight unification bout set for July 23 on HBO PPV from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
A press conference has been set for May 10 in Los Angeles says Top Rank Promoter and CEO Bob Arum.
“The terms have been agreed to, the contracts are out and we’re (finalizing) the final details before they sign,” Arum said.
Both Crawford and Postol put on excellent performances in their last outings and both are considered the very best in the junior welterweight division. The winner would solidify his position as the top man not only in the division but also as one of the best in the sport.
The card will also feature rising star Gilberto Ramirez (34-0, 24 knockouts) making his first defense of his WBO super middleweight title which he won with a dominant performance over Arthur Abraham earlier this month.
More details are sure to be available soon but until then fight fans should be very excited about the news of this card being made.
