The hype continues behind the possibility of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor stepping into a ring together.

On the latest edition of Showtime Boxing this past Friday night, Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) was asked by Showtime commentator Steve Farhood on the highly publicized rumor about fighting UFC's McGregor. Farhood pressed the recently retired fighter on him actually being the one to start the rumor, however, Mayweather maintained this entire situation was much more than some gossip.
