After thrilling Big Apple audiences in his last three bouts, Vasiliy “Loma” Lomachenko is ready to bring his lightweight world titles to the City of Angels.
Lomachenko, the pound-for-pound Picasso and the WBA and WBO lightweight world champion, will defend his titles against former lightweight world champion Anthony “Million Dollar” Crolla on Friday, April 12 at Staples Center. In the co-feature, longtime WBO super middleweight world champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez will make his light heavyweight debut against an opponent to be announced in a 10-rounder.

Hector Tanajara defeats Ivan Delgado in Tijuana, Mexico

In front of an electric crowd at the Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana, Mexico, Hector “El Finito” Tanajara (17-0-0-5ko’s) handed Ivan “Striker” Delgado (13-2-2-6ko’s) his second loss after only four rounds. Due to a cut over Tanajara’s right eye, the referee stepped in and stopped the fight giving Tanajara the victory after going to the scorecards. Tanajara came into this fight looking to remain undefeated but in front of him would be tough challenger Delgado not letting him get the easy win. Tanajara was coming off a tough win where many thought it was his biggest challenge up to date, while Delgado was coming into this fight with a victory over Jesus Ontiveros (5-5-0-4ko’s). This was a heavily anticipated fight for those who know the sport of boxing.
