At the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. (23-0, 20 KOs) lived up to his moniker “The Truth” by dominating Lamont Peterson (35-4-1, 17 KOs) over seven rounds. The bout was stopped in the eighth as Peterson’s trainer allowed him to come out for the eighth round before pulling the plug on the fight.
