NYC based photographer Jose Miranda is a proud alumni of the University of South Florida where he majored in TV Production. He began his career as a News Press Photographer in 2006 with NY1 & News 12 covering breaking news in New York City. A former amateur boxer, at 21 years old he stopped boxing after his father passed away. After years of covering crime, fires, and winter storms he decided to dedicate more time to sports photography. His favorite fighters of all time are Felix Trinidad, Miguel Cotto, and Evander Holyfield. He credits Al Bello, Neil Leifer, & Chris Farina as some of his inspirations in the photojournalistic world of boxing.
