Bisping vs. GSP Back On for UFC 217
Michael Bisping will be defending his UFC middleweight title against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. After a lot of back and forth, ships sailing then-not sailing, it looks like the fight is official on paper according to a social media post by Georges St-Pierre.
There was a point no one knew if this fight was going to happen, but it looks like St-Pierre is getting the fight when he wants it after all. When his request to do the fight in Fall came out, the reaction by fans, Dana White, and the UFC was not positive. He said, “after October, you pick the date.” When this seemed to have gone on long enough, it was then said St-Pierre would face the winner of Woodley and Maia after UFC 214.
However, since the fight was not considered entertaining by White and a lot of fans the ship that had apparently sailed and made a big U-turn back to Bisping for the promotions return to Madison Square Garden.
Is this something you still want to see? If so, how do you think St-Pierre will do in a return bout in a heavier weight class against its current champion?
