Bouts Added to Bellator NYC/Bellator 180
“You want your biggest stars and a packed card”
That’s what Spike TV president Kevin Kay said in January before Bellator MMA announced they were coming to New York City.
When you look at the names added to the card you can tell they were not kidding. Names like Gracie, Machida, and Couture have been added and even though they may carry the name by blood relation it still sells tickets to add them. With the announcement of current light-heavyweight champion Phil Davis replacing an injured Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal yesterday on The MMA Hour the card is truly living up to what Kay and Bellator MMA President Scott Coker want to bring for their first show in New York.
Bellator 180/Bellator NYC takes place June 24 in Madison Square Garden. Tickets are priced from $60, not including applicable service charges and taxes, and are currently on sale at Ticketmaster, TheGarden.com and Bellator.com.
