WSOF announced some great bouts for WSOF 31 this June. Heavyweight Blagoy Ivanov (13-1) ready to defend his title against Josh Copeland (13-1) head the main event along with bouts that are sure to be fast paced and leave little to the judges. The co-main event features a lightweight number one contender match-up between Jason High (19-5) and Mike Ricci (11-4) along with several other bouts of note.

In a second heavyweight match-up, dynamic, rising star Chris “Huggy Bear” Barnett (14-2) will make his World Series of Fighting debut against Team AKA prodigy Justin Willis (4-1). Barnett is well known in Japan and is also on this month’s Rizin FF card so expect his first appearance at WSOF 31 to be memorable.

A featherweight (145 pounds) bout features two strikers that seem to enjoy fighting at a high pace. Luis “Baboon” Palomino (24-12) will face off with former world championship challenger Sheymon Moraes (8-1). Palomino fought current champ Justin Gaethje twice for the title and the first bout was considered a “fight of the year” candidate by the promotion and both bouts earned “fight of the month” for each month they took place in.

Moraes was on a seven-fight win streak before falling to current bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes. The new weight class could be good for him as he won against Robbie Peralta at WSOF 26. However, his chin will certainly be tested by facing the likes of Palomino, Palomino is coming off of a loss and a win here would be good for the 35-year-old contender.

WSOF 31 takes place live on NBCSN at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. on Friday, June 17. Tickets are on sale now at WSOF.com and Foxwoods.com.
