Cyborg undisputed in two classes

Cyborg undisputed in two classes

This may become a theme until she retires, but Cris “Cyborg” Justino is making weight and taking names. She is Queen of the 145 pound division over at Invicta, a title that she has stated she intends on defending and is now dominating in the UFC at 140 pounds. Fighters can only last for so long in the business of combat and while she is still on the top her game, maybe the UFC should consider adding a 145 pound division.

It is not a recommendation that is only here on Frontproof Media; Joe Rogan even posted the sentiment on his twitter profile.

He went on to say, “Women’s MMA is growing in leaps and bounds and it would be amazing if there were more weight classes.” A good number seemed to agree based on how much the tweet was liked and retweeted.

She really has nothing left to prove and she seems grateful to go through a grueling weight cut process for the honor of fighting in Brazil under the UFC. She hears people’s concerns and does not seem to mind what she goes through as much as she gets asked about it. She has been asked to perform at a weight class and does so, even when it seems like she cannot do it. All she expresses is gratitude to the UFC and fans to give them in cage performances like she did against Lina Lansberg.

Congratulations and thank you to Justino for her dedication and her win. Hopefully we will get to see her defend that Invicta title soon. Check out the highlights of her win from UFC on Fox:
