Draft Kings Adds PFL to Their Fantasy MMA
In a press release the Professional Fighters League (PFL) announced that fight fans will be able to play “Pick em’” style fantasy game for the 2018 Championships taking place on New Year’s Eve. The PFL will be holding the final fights of the 2018 season at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden and fans can start picking fighters on December 21 according to the announcement.
Donn Davis, Co-Founder and Chairman of Professional Fighters League said, “The winners in this partnership are MMA fans, first with fantasy and eventually gaming,” and added that, “PFL is re-imagining MMA, and we look forward to collaborating with Draft Kings to offer new engagement for fans while creating new revenue streams for our business.”
2018 was the promotion’s first year holding their seasonal format of MMA and the points that are won to make to the play off portion of the season seems to have motivated fighters to produce a high finish rate. The promotion picked up new investors in their first season that is likely to bring more fights for 2019 and well as the winners from New Year’s Eve looking to win another million-dollar grand prize.
With the fight card set for New Year’s Eve fans can start preparing their line-ups for 2018 World Championship.
