Featherweight rematch headlines WSOF 32
By Edward Carbajal
World Series of Fighting (WSOF.com) announced that it will head to Washington State for the first time ever with a rematch between reigning kingpin featherweight Alexandre “Capitao” Almeida (18-5) and the man he took the title from - Lance Palmer (10-2). Also announced is a sibling rivalry between two adopted brothers.
Caros Fodor (10-5) will be facing Ben Fodor (6-1-1). You may have heard of Ben, who goes by “Phoenix Jones” and made a name for himself outside of MMA as a costumed crusader against crime. AXS TV's Inside MMA documented the brothers MMA interests and as brothers do, they have fought before. This time, it’s regulated and on television and for their mother’s sake, happening long after Mother’s Day.
Caros has fought in Strikerforce, the UFC and ONE so fighting under MMA rules may favor him over his younger brother. WSOF 32 takes place at the XFINITY Arena at Everett on Saturday, July 30, live on NBCSN at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
