Ilima-lei Macfarlane is ready to be Bellator's flyweight champ

Two title-fights headline Bellator 186 on November 3 with Ryan Bader looking to defend the light-heavyweight title against Linton Vassell and the crowning of the women’s flyweight champion with a bout between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Emily Ducote.

Speaking with Frontproof Media after the weigh-ins at Bellator 185 Macfarlane talked about how she has kept herself sharp by competing in various grappling tournaments and staying ready for the opportunity. She has faced Ducote before and the undefeated flyweight won by decision at Bellator 167. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt feels her game has evolved enough to make her not only the best grappler in Bellator’s flyweight division, but the person ready to become it’s first champion at Bellator 186.

As far as grappling goes, I think I own it on the ground.
