Interview: Bantamweight Fighter L.C. Davis on Bellator 166
By Edward Carbajal
L.C. Davis is returning to action on Friday December 2, for the Bellator 166 card. It’s the first in a doubleheader weekend event for Bellator MMA and Davis is facing former bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao. We got to talk to Davis about his upcoming bout, his division, and a little history on his first name.
The American Top Team competitor sees a title shot looming by beating a former champion and with three fights left on his contract; Galvao is just in his way. Bellator 166 has a main event with the other two men that circle the title in that division with current champion Eduardo Dantas facing former champion (whom Davis has faced before) Joe Warren. Davis lost a decision to Warren at Bellator 143 so if he gets the winner of the main event, he could re-match Warren or wind up facing Dantas. With the landscape of mixed martial arts now open in New York, Davis would not mind a possible title fight when Bellator decides to make their move in the Empire State.
Whatever happens, when L.C. Davis is on the card you be assured the fight will be a memorable one.
Bellator 166 is likely to keep up with the current pace of firecracker cards they seem to be closing the year out, listen to the full interview and see the bout listing below:
