Late Wednesday night it was announced on social media that Kyra Batara (5-3) will be removed from the Combate Americas return to Fight Pass this August. Combate CEO, Campbell McLaren made the announcement on Twitter and Batara confirmed it was due to an injury on the social network. Batara and her opponent, Lisa Elis (15-10) will be removed from the card.

A “pulled glute and hammy” can definitely affect a fighters mobility and that makes it hard to compete effectively let alone defend one’s self. Sad news for Combate Americas but if you have seen Batara in action, she should bounce back soon.

Combate Americas was on UFC Fight Pass last spring and brought some mid-week, welcome MMA action to fight fans.

We are excited to be back in action on UFC FIGHT PASS with a tremendous fight card featuring the best, up-and-coming Hispanic fighters in the U.S., some of whom have been climbing the ranks with explosive performances under our promotion since last year and others whom we recently recruited because of their outstanding results elsewhere.
