Lance Palmer Broke His Hand Again at WSOF 35

3/20/2017

Lance Palmer (11-3) lost his fight against Andre Harrison (16-0) in New York this past weekend. Even during the broadcast, something seemed off when the fight started. Later, Palmer would share what it was on social media.

He confirmed that it was the same hand in the same spot that he had suffered before, also during a fight. You can see from the image there was already a screw in place from that injury that Palmer thought was healed up enough to fight again.

Unfortunately, that was not the case and he lost a decision to the New Yorker, Harrison. It should be noted that even though he seemed off he fought hard and finished the fight with the break. It was mentioned on the broadcast when something seemed off that he did the same when the initial break happened.

Palmer was not one to make excuses or try to give any blame to why the fight did not go his way. He just wants it fixed so it doesn’t happen a third time. See the main card results below:

MAIN CARD

  • Blagoy Ivanov def. Shawn Jordan via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 1:43 – to retain heavyweight title
  • Andre Harrison def. Lance Palmer via unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47, 48-47) – to win featherweight title
  • Bekbulat Magomedov def. Donavon Frelow via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) – to win vacant bantamweight title
