Tony Ferguson Having Fun at UFC Fight Night 98

Tony Ferguson got his ninth straight win beating former 155 pound champion Rafael Dos Anjos. Generally a win like that has many fighters calling for title shots and big money fights, especially with a title fight happening in his division at UFC 205 between current Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor.

However once the official win by decision was announced, all “El cu cuy” had to say was, “Mi gente! Viva Mexico! That's it I'm done.”

When asked again on Fox Sports 1, Ferguson said he hopes McGregor and Alvarez knock each other out, “I got better things to do.” Perhaps he knows rankings mean nothing when Conor McGregor is in the mix so he would rather see the fight play out before he tries to sell himself a fight with the winner. That is not a bad move with the money fight versus title fight argument and what matters more in the UFC that has been going around this year.
