WSOF NYC Press Conference Photos

With a little less than 48 hours to their first event in New York, WSOF President Ray Sefo expressed how proud he is of the show they are putting on in the last night of 2016. WSOF 34, best known as WSOF NYC, is the second mixed martial arts promotion to hold an event in Madison Square Garden since the ban was lifted on the sport earlier this year.
Just about every fighter at the press conference was excited to throw down in the world’s most famous arena, on the one of New York City’s most popular nights. Local fighter and two division champ, David Branch said he was excited to know friends and family could take a train to watch him work live versus having him travel far from home to keep defending his titles.
For champs not from the area like undefeated lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and welterweight champion Jon Fitch they are just happy for a chance to fight one more time before the year ends. Bantamweight Champion Marlon Moraes pretty much was in agreement as he has been saying since the Fall.
However, Sefo wanted to let fight fans in New York know this stacked card is an exclamation point for MMA and WSOF, they’re not going anywhere. Sefo said," I couldn't be more prouder than standing right here, looking at champions and challengers and saying World Series of Fighting has some of the best fighters in the world."
He continued, "to any doubters, World Series of Fighting is here to stay."
